Got no ammo, got no range?

What's that?
You ain't been shooting in a month of Sundays?
You say you can't find ammo, either centerfire or rimfire?
And when you do, you can't afford to buy it?
And gas prices and range fees are slowing you down, too?

There's a near perfect air pistol, that is an excellent substitute for your .22.
It's the Umarex CO2 copy of the Beretta PX4.
Recoil at least as much as a .22,
Excellent accuracy with good .177 pellets through its rifled barrel.
But don't take my word for it.
Here's a thorough video review:

When I shot Bullseye Pistol and Standard Pistol competitively, I practiced in my garage with an air pistol. I used a Baikal .22, so I bought a Baikal .177 air pistol. 50 feet is all you need. Took a 3 foot square cardboard box, put plywood in the bottom, then multiple layers of cardboard, taped it shut. Used the top of the box as the target front. Plywood was the very back of the stop. I shot for a couple years before the pellets started working their way out the back. Must have been thousands of pellets in that box.

I had my butt kicked more then once by college kids shooting air rifle and air pistol matches.

They will humble you.

I only have a non-blowback Colt 1911 spring pistol but it's great fun and has been a good tool teaching the boys. I'm in the market for a higher end full-function gas 1911. I understand some LE agencies use airsoft firearms for training.

And geez, mausermolt, lighten up.

San Fransisco police have been using airsoft for their training, due to the ammo shortages.
It made the news this week:

I broke out my Quakenbush .457 this weekend. I found some dead soft lead to cast up some of my hollow base .459 bullets with. The range I go to has a paintball field so I used thier air to refill it. I got some strange looks, and lot of questions at the rifle range when I was shooting it. My camera is not working on my phone or I would have taken some pics before I took the rifle back to my Dad's house to put away in the safe. It is a ton of fun to shoot.
