Lee quick trim
So got the lee quick trim deluxe. So far I'm not to impressed but hav only used it for about 20 .223 cases so far. My problem is it trims cases .006 shorter than trim length, so instead of 1.750" I get 1.744. So my question is will the shorter length have a greater affect on anything? I have always been taught to do what the book says. Thanks for the input.

No .006 shorter than minimum shouldn't hurt anything. Load a couple and check to see if you have good case tension. I haven't seen one yet but in the reading I have done on it my impresson was that it should be adjustable. So you should be able to set the trim length to what ever you want.

From reading my instructions that is the longest length I could get, and the adjustments r in .001 increments shorter.

Mine's the other way around. The shortest I can get it is 1.754.
Have you tried backing out the trim die a bit, that should keep the case further away from the cutter. |
