Threads per inch model 70 Winchester w/boss
Does the late model 70 Classic Winchester w/claw extractor have the same number of threads per inch for both the boss and standard barrels?? I have a standard model 70 --7mm Rem mag barrel and thinking of buying one of the Winchester's with a boss and remove if my barrel will screw in the action. My barrel has 16 threads per inch but somewhere I have a nagging thought that the two barrels don't have the same number of threads per inch! William

I have a Model 70 Winchester barrel with the boss, I also have a stainless steel classic model 70 Winchester barrel. I guess I will have to go-dig. The Model 70 with the boss is stamped 30 gov 06.
I could call someone and make them dig. F. Guffey |
