Here's my deal: I ended up with a Sako Lightweight Hunter A-III in .30-06. I like the rifle, I'm just not too enthused about the caliber. I would like to know where I can find a "drop-in" barrel for it in either 6mm-06, .280 Rem., .338-06, or .35 Whelen. I've done a few internet searches and am coming up empty.
Any suggestions? |

You will not find any drop in barrels for your Sako. You will have to send your rifle to a gunsmith and have a blank barrel threaded and chambered for your choice of caliber. The good news is that you can pick as high a quality barrel as you wish. The bad news, no matter which barrel you choose, it's going to cost you. Check with the moderator George, he does great work at reasonable prices. John K
