I have only 2 shotguns and one is a single-shot. The other is a Mossberg 930 SPX that I truly love. I suppose I could be quite happy with that if I couldn't own another.

My Light-12s are my traditional favorites (with my Light-20 as my most valued field gun) but I've recently been shooting a Beretta 390 and frankly I'm liking it a lot... The 390 is certainly is a lot more capable of seamlessly switching from 7/8oz handloaded dove loads to heavier field loads than my beloved Browning Auto5s, even if it does lack that wonderful Auto5 noise when it recoils..

I can't hardly choose just one, if it's a semi auto, then my vote goes towards one of my A5's, but normally I choose a side by side for field hunts, but there is nothing wrong with a good 1100, either.

As far a new guns go, I like the Beretta Unico line pretty good.

It'd have to be an original Mossberg 590 with its custom polychoke.

Any shotgun I have picked up has killed or broken anything I was able to hit with it. Having said that I love the simple heavy tank BPS. It goes off everytime you yank the trigger, loads another shell evrytime you jerk the bark, and you can paddle the boat back with it.

Only 1 Shotgun?!?!

Well, this great country we live in allows us to have endless amounts of guns. But if I only could have 1 shotgun, it would be my Saiga IZ-109 12 gauge. 20 round drum mag. Oh yea

My 870 12 gauge. I won it with 10 bucks worth of raffle tickets. It came with a vent rib barrel threaded for tubes and a rifle sighted slug barrel. I have added an 18" barrel pulled from a beater riot gun. A friend is currently bead blasting and rebluing it, adding tubes, and recutting the forcing cone. I do like the 870 platform. Pretty hard to beat for an all around solidly performing shotgun.

Well this thread has narrowed it down to either an 870 or Mossberg 500 for my first shotgun.

I would choose my Benelli Supernova...an incredible weapon!!!
I would choose the over & under double-barrel shotgun Chuck Norris is wielding from his blockbuster hit movie Hitman:

Benelli M2 or Montefeltro for things that fly.

Remington 870 for two legged things.
