ID case trimmer pilots
I picked up a handful of assorted case trimmer pilots at a gun show last year only to find the shanks were different diameters. The ones that fit my older RCBS trimmer are about 0.155" dia. The others are about 0.133" - 0.137" diameter. What make are they, or what would they fit?

In case it helps anybody else, the Redding catalog says that Redding, Hornaday, and Forster all use 3/16" pilots (0.1875"). My guess is that they're Lyman. Would anybody be able to measure their Lyman pilots and confirm?

I don't have a Lyman, so I don't know what it is? I just know of a fellow in another forum complaining it is different from the RCBS cutter he got, so compatibility is not part of the industry's thinking.

Really appreciate the replies. I'll call them Lyman then.
Thank you! |
