is it ok to hunt with pistol (revolver) in canada(BC)?

Unfortunately, no. Only long guns and archery.

The reason that you cannot hunt with a pistol is that they are classed as a restricted weapon. All restricted weapons (pistol, AR and the like) must be registered to a permit holder who is a member of a range and they are only legal to shoot at the range and must be transported with a double lock in a vehicle to and from the range.
