223 questions

I just bought a AR 15 and am looking to buy some factory ammo that has good reloadable brass. I was looking at Black Hills ammo and Ultramax ammo was wondering how the brass is to reload. Also has anybody shot soft points in a Ar and what kind of performance did you get?

223. brass is everywhere. It may get a bit beat up going through a semi-auto. (a port buffer and catch bag are good for this).

Get some of both - see what brass you like better. Buy some surpluss when you see it cheap.

Soft points generally work fine - except some early A1 barrels with the slow twist won't stabilize heavy soft points.

Thanks tINY. So I shouldn't expect feeding problems from the soft point in a AR?

Not if they don't have a significantly different profile than the 62gr FMJ.
