I have a Para Ordnance P16-40 Signature and would like to use it for IDPA matches in my area. Is it legal for use in the IDPA matches?

Wow, there aren't many Signatures out there, to the best of my knowledge they were renamed to the "Limited" shortly after ParaOrdinance decided to offer the public a more competition ready or factory customized pistol.
How long have you had your Signature P16? Others might be able to help you with the regulations and rules of the type of competition you want to shoot or the class you want to shoot. I'm just interested in the pistol, I've got a P14 Limited and at the time I decided I wanted one they were known as the "Signature" but it didn't last long. |

Madlo,
Your P16-40 is legal and should be a very good choice for the Enhanced Service Pistol division. |

I shoot a P-16-40 in ESP/IDPA. Just load 10 rounds only in the mags.
A huge afternarket magwell or mag base pad extentions will not allow the P-16-40 to fit the IDPA box. |

Uglygun,
I have had my Signture for about 2 years now and I love it. The info I have is that there were about 1000 signatures produced 45 and 40 combined. I do not know if it is true or not though. The gun is exactly the same as the Limited's except for the name. I have only seen one other Signature at a gun show some time ago. P.S. Thanks for all the responses. I will go to the next shoot in about 2 weeks to try my luck! |
