Some times the cost of reloading vs purchasing already made ammo is a consideration if your just going to punch holes in paper w/ a pistol at a gun range. For instance, take those aluminum Teflon coated rounds bought in a store vs making HP rounds.

Once in a while I will buy some new rounds back when I could get them on sale so I could get more .223 brass. I've just bought new brass for most of the other calibers I shoot. for the most part other than rimfire, I load about 98% of what I shoot.

Then I got this .17 Hornet. The dies I want are going to be out of stock until next year so I buy loaded ammo when I find it. So far I haven't found much...

Aside from rimfires and 20 gauge shot shells, I would say probably 95% of my ammo is handloads..............only way I can afford to keep shooting.

Probably about 15%.

My 9mm and .223 is sponsored and that is what I shoot most. My .308, .30-06, .243 and .270 WSM are hand loaded and don't get shot quite as much.

Don't reload shotgun yet, so I buy it.

Also, .223 and 9mm defensive ammo is factory.

If I don't load it, I don't shoot it.... 100% ... Exception of course is rim-fires.

Unless you are talking about making the cases, primers, and bullets... Then I guess I am a 100% 'assembler' of the components into a product that I use .
