internet bullet purchase Thru GunAuction
I just received 500 rounds of 45 acp bullets that were supposed to be Federal .451" 230gr FMJ that Federal loads in their 45 acp ammo. The ones I recieved were not a full .451" they were in fact a full .001" under sized and looked to be boogered/dinged up. I've already sent an email to the seller with my thoughts on his product. This bullet has an open base and it occcured to me the base may upset enough to fill the bore when fired, just a thought!! I use this lot for my I don't care if they group worth a hoot!! William

They might be pulls. Anymore, I ask all the questions I can, dumb one's or not, just to avoid problems. IMO, there are some guys trying to make a quick buck in these "buy it before it gets taken away" times.

I think every bullet was dinged up somewhere (but) they shot/grouped within 4-5" at 20yds off a bag. Since they were undersize I did note there was a bit of bullet set back .003-.005" when feed thru the magazine. The Hornadys FMJ RN I have are a better looking more uniform and a full .451", as far as shooting them I couldn't tell any difference in grouping. They aren't pretty but seem to shoot O.K., I should mention I will not be buying any more components until they become readily available and prices stablize. William
