Remington Rolling Block barrel ?
I just bought an old beat-up Rolling block at a gun show and I plan to build a 45-70(I think) out of the action. Does anyone know of a decent place to buy budget priced octagon barrel blanks? also, any idea what shank size a Military 7x57 Rolling block is so I know what outside dimention barrel to look for?
Thanks! |

Gun Parts Corporation used to sell barrels and conversion kits for the Rolling block rifles as well as complete new rifles.
http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Default.aspx You can buy barrel blanks from Brownell's, Dixie Gun Works, and many of the companies that sell black powder builders supplies. http://www.trackofthewolf.com/Catego....aspx?catId=14 Last edited by Dfariswheel; December 17, 2011 at 06:59 PM. |

Just remember to keep your loads to trapdoor levels. The RB is a real fun gun, but not the strongest action, the block can allow severe case stretching or worse. Goatwhiskers
