Mauser 98 stock interchangeability

Upgrading a M98 military rifle very often requires a modern commercial stock replacement. Has anyone compiled a list of M98 stock interchangeability? That is, can a Howa, Weatherby Vanguard, BSA Monarch, etc., etc., stock be used or adapted to use on a M98? Which stocks might be used with only a little extra effort at inletting or glass bedding? The concern here is fit, not finish.

you can go to Boyd's Stocks, they have readt to go stocks and semi inletted/funish-unfinished stocks..

I have a mauser 98 and recently bought a #8 Contour Douglas Barrel in 280 remington im trying to find a gunsmith in Ohio. I would like to ask if you still do rebarreling Harry B. Tom rayner, Brian White and Mike Cooper all told me to try to contcat you. Thank you, Casey S.

I bought a Hogue® Rifle Stock with Pillar Bedding from Cabela's,,,
I think it was $129.95 or thereabouts.

My great uncle's WW-II bringback K98 Mauser fit it,,,
The rifle dropped right in and fit perfectly.
