Published Load Data for 124gr 9mm Bullets?

I am having trouble finding load data for 124gr 9mm bullets. I looked on Hodgdon's site and Alliant's in addition to my Lyman's 49th. None of which we're particularly helpful.(Unless I want to load up some gold dots) I'll have Lee's manual soon. Any other powder manufacturers or manuals I should check out for load data?

It did occur to me, that it might be possible to use the gold dot data with the same weight bullet, and compensate so that the internal case capacity is unchanged, by increasing the OAL by the difference in length between a gold dot and brand x fmj or plated. However it seems like that idea is better suited to someone with some experience under their belt, not a novice such as myself.

1999 Winchester load data has loads for 124 gr 9mm bullets

Also from current Hodgdon load data

I use load data for 124/125 gr bullets interchangeably and there's a ton of load data for 125 gr bullet on Hodgdon's, Alliant, Accurate, Ramshot websites.

You don't say what powder or bullet style you're using. Suggest you get a Hornady 8th edition manual, it has over a dozen loads for the 124gr and the data is current.

125 grain load data would work.

The Speer Gold Dot is a plated bullet, and behaves differently at launch.

I most highly recommend using Speer data for their Gold Dot bullet.

"Weight" similarities do not automatically translate to "same data"; safety first.

I didn't list a powder because I have not chosen it yet. I figured better to find a few different options for loads then pick a powder, given the limited number of loads I was able to find. I'd like to use fmj or plated rn, as these will just be used to put holes in paper.

Thanks for the older load data bds. How do you get to the directory on the atk site with the pdfs of the older data?

There is a lot of 125gr load data, is the consensus that it would be ok to use for 124gr bullets of the same profile?

You will find many powder manufactures list data on their web sites.

I prefer ball type powders because they measure well in my powder measure.

Yes. That is less than 1% difference and in the safe - lighter - direction at that. THINK.

Yup, most jacketed/plated bullet weights vary by 1 grain or so anyways.
