Used equipment...
I am currently looking for used reloading equipment. Not finding much luck. I tried to search the subject here but come up empty so if this has been beat to death....apologies.
Where is the best place to source used presses and the like? I really want something like the Dillon 550b or Hornady Lock-n-Load. It has come down to find a way to keep shooting the same amount without more outlay in money. Also, I think it is a way I can branch out in calibers and not get killed shooting a .260 or 6.5 Creedmore. I will start with loading... .223 22-250 .308 9mm .40 .357 magnum

Place an add in your local paper classifieds. I have purchased many reloading componets through my local paper. Also, keep your eyes open for local auctions. In Wyoming, auctions of estates are really common and often include reloading stuff. As the old guys pass away, their widows get rid of their collections.

A WTB in one of the shooting forums is a good start.

CraigsList?
Maybe put up a flyer or ask around at local reloading or sports supply also. Stumbled across my Lyman T at a garage sale - not bad for $20

Agree that a WTB notice might be a good idea. I'm sure there are some people with unused gear lying around who aren't actively trying to sell (maybe they think they'll get back into reloading), but who might be prompted to sell if they see a motivated buyer.

I am on Brian's forum, there was a few 650's on sale and maybe a 550 on sale too!
I am on multiple gun forums but a word of caution about eBay sometimes the prices of used equipment will surpass the price of new! So have a good idea of what a new press equipment costs when bidding Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |
