Before I dropped cash on a Canik, I'd check out the CZforum/clone section and do a little reading. Lot of info, some of it disturbing. I have a few CZ's along with several clones. I was looking at the Caniks but it didn't take long to dissuade me. Good luck.

I read that group for some time before I bought my TriStar T-120. I came to the conclusion that the problems with most of the clones are no more than most pistol brands. Customer service is more of a problem with most of the clone manufacturers should you encounter a problem, but even there, there are SOME good reports on service. I decided that it was worth the "risk" to try a TriStar especially considering the price point. I'm glad I did. I can usually count on having more bad luck than good, so I'm pretty sure I didn't luck out and get an exceptional example. I would think that lemons are not the norm if I didn't get one! I will be buying more clones. I have so many on my "to buy" list, that I almost hope I have a problem with my next one. Almost!
