M&P 9c in a Crossbreed SuperTuck has been working well lately.
I just got an XD9sc that I really like so that may make its way to my hip soon |

I bought the Ruger LC9, seemed like the closest to a pocket gun in 9mm. If I was gonna use an outside holster it would be the S&W Shield because of the better trigger.

Most of the time, a Gen 3 Glock 19... That being said, I also carry a pocket pistol and that had been a S&W 340. Now I carry a Rohrbaugh R9s or SIG 938.

I'll throw in a vote for Sig's P290, the original version. Had a few light firing pin strikes with it at first but a free trip to Sig cured that plus it came back with a much improved trigger and a mag release upgrade. I have no use for a restrike capability preferring instead to clear any stopage immediately rather than try to refire the round in a SD situation.
As delivered its a good OWB carry piece but is too heavy for pocket carry generally speaking. Utility pockets might work but it'd feel pecular. Accuracy with mine runs to an inch at 15 yds from a Weaver Stance and it'll feed anything I've tried to date. Recoil is not a factor due to the weight and concealment is a breeze. HTH's Rod

Kahr P9. Great trigger. Flat. Accurate. Pocket carry or Crossbreed Super Tuck.

I prefer my Taurus PT709 Slim, and am surprised that no one else has mentioned it. The slim is easy to conceal, comfortable to carry, and simple to clean (field strips like a Glock). I've put 500-600 rounds through mine without any issues, and highly recommend the model.

I'll put another hand up for an underdog that's been mentioned a couple times already. I've really been digging the SCCY CPX-2. Very easily concealed IWB, holds 10+1, feeds and shoots everything I've fed it from 100gr to 147gr FMJ and HP, sports adjustable rear sights (windage), comes with 2 mags and has amazing customer service.

If what you have is proven reliable, and your intimately familiar with it, and shoot it well, in any conceivable way, then it really doenst matter what it is. Brand snobs or kool aide fans, can scream all they want, but if you can keep up and/or surpass them when shooting, with whatever it is you have, what is it that they can really tell you? Chances are, if the paragraph above fits you, they wont be saying much anyway. |

M&P Shield has replaced my S&W 340PD for a lot of my concealed carry. The little J frame is still lighter when it comes to pocket carry, though.

M&P Shield. I have carried every flavor of gun at one point, and I honestly cant see myself every finding something better than the Shield to suit my needs.

My EDC for more than 10 years has been a Kahr PM9 ... reliable since I took it out of the box a week before my CHL class, has never failed in any way. Light enough to pocket carry, easy to find good leather for cooler weather.
Don't leave home without it ...

Had a XD9sc and I liked it, but my Shield 9 is better for CC. Great pistol for it's size.

The Shield and XDs 9mm and Glock 19 are at the top of my list. Of those 3, I carry a Shield.

I almost got a Sig P290rs but it felt quite thick to me. Had the LC9, didn't like it. But, word on the street is they upgraded the trigger somehow.
I ended up getting a Taurus PT709 that I REALLY like. Conceals GREAT and gives me more umph than my TCP. I'm definitely no Taurus fan boy, but I feel they hit the mark with those two guns. |

SIG P299
The best ccw 9mm handgun for me is the SIG P299. It is the same size as the SIG P290, but has a thin double stack magazine (9+1), is DA just like all of the regular P series SIG's with the same controls and functions, comes with night sights, and weighs in at 15-18oz.
Crap... They haven't made that one yet. Until then, I just can't see how you can get much better than the Kahr CM9. So simple, so perfect for it's function. Tough, can pocket carry, disappears IWB, slim, light, buttery trigger that is long enough to not worry about carrying with one down the pipe, no safety, can handle +P. Awesome little carry pistol at a very reasonable price. |

My PPS .40 has been with me for years now, and will be my go-to ccw till its worn out, which it shows no signs of.

Boberg XR9-S. Super-small, durable, nice looking and will eat +9 all day long. Just don't used un-crimped ammo! It will handle +p+ just fine, but the manufacturer won't rate the firearm for that.
If you want "cheap", this isn't the gun for you. If you want "will shoot every kind of 9mm ammo out there", this isn't the gun for you. If you want the best concealed carry 9mm....this is the gun for you. |

I have the nano but I just can't make myself like it. I've never been one to like small single stacks. I always keep reaching for my HK P2000SK. She's my baby. I'm saving up for a Dan Wesson guardian 9 mm but even then I don't know if it will take her place. The nano will be sold and go into the collection pot for sure, after a good gun belt.
