Any suggestions for ammo for 270 A Bolt with boss? Deer hunting round, that may have to push 300 yds? Brand and weight please?

I don't think you can go wrong with the old standard, Remingtion Core Lokt 130 gr psp. I have never had a problem putting a deer down with them and they are fairly inexpensive.

I figure that the 130 CoreLokt will work as good as any. The only reason to use anything else would be if your particular rifle doesn't "like" the CoreLokt.

Any similar construction with which you get one MOA or better will do just fine. Even 1.5 MOA, really...

Try the Fusions. I have used them in 30.06 with great success.

My 270 A bolt did not like the cor lokt ammo or the fusion ammo, they were the first ones I tried. Now im shooting Federal 130 Sierra Game Kings and its a tack driver for a factory gun and regular ammo

It's going to be what your rifle likes best. My rifle likes 130 grain Winchester Supreme Ballistic Silvertips.

Exactly. And there's no other way to find out what your rifle likes than just trying everything you can get ahold of until you find "the one"

You said the rifle has the boss. With that u should be able to "tune" the barrel to any ammo. That was the purpose of the boss system.Use the settings listed in the manual for a start.I found they were right on with my gun.
