Picking a good semi-auto pistol rest

Hi,

I used the front half of a sandbag set to originally sight in my HiPoint C9, but didn't realize until finished that the slide had tore a hole in the top of it. A strip of duct tape more or less indefinitely fixed that for rifle purposes, but I still need to find a good rest for my pistol.

The C9's slide basically wraps over around the barrel from the bottom edge on one side to the bottom edge on the other. I'd like to find a reasonable mechanical stand, brace, or rest that would work well with this weapon.

I've been looking at the MTM PR-30 with longing, but I'm not sure if the slide action would clear the sides of the V or not. Anybody else have a similar problem, or could recommend a pistol rest that maybe wouldn't get caught on the slide?
