Rock River vs DPMS AR-10

I have a Match spec Rock River AR-10 and I'm looking at a DPMS. I was hoping someone with experience with both could give me some pros and cons. I can get the DPMS for a great price.I don't think I can say no. Should I?

Thanks in advance for any info you may have.

Are you thinking about trading? What will be the use/reason (if there is one)?

If you are not trading, is there a different role that you want the DPMS to fill?

I have a dpms ar 10 oracle carbine and I love it. My buddy has rock river and I wouldnt trade one for the other,i like them both. Iv also put over 500 rounds through both and the only differance that I see is the dpms feels a little bit heaveir but just as good here is a pic of my dpms we have ours set up the same way.

No sir. You have a DPMS LR-308. Only ArmaLite makes the AR-10. They are different rifles.

Thanks guys.
My Rock River has a 26 in. bull barrel and I would like something ammo compatible that is a bit lighter and more compact. It will also function as a spare for target practice, hunting and heck maybe even fishing This will be the second AR type rifle I've ever owned. I went all out the first time. This time I would be happy with average.

My DPMS LR 308B (18" bull barrel) which I have owned for about 5 years is consistently sub moa with my handloads, totally reliable and makes gunfearing wusses wet their pants when they see pictures of it.
What more is needed?

+1 to velocette, except I've had mine for 7 years, I don't reload (yet), shoot slightly over MOA (operator limitation) and I haven't seen anyone wet their pants over it...

I bought an AP4 in 2007 and it's run just fine. So far only put mil-surp and handloads through it. It'll shoot 1" groups from a bench with my handloads, but with mil-surp it opens up to 2-3, except for, believe it or not, some NATO spec stuff that came from India, which it loves. Green sealed primers.

My typical handload for it is 42gr of 748 under a 175gr Sierra HPBT. These are the bullets we loaded in the Marines for our M21s in the mid 80s. I also have some of the 168s, but my M1A prefers the 175s so I'm just sticking with them. They are also mil-surp.

I've done a few range sessions with the AP4 that were geared towards 'breaking it'. Not in a real torture test, mind you - as mil-surp is too expensive for me to do that now, and mass quantities of bullets/powder/primer for reloading can be tough to come by occasionally lately. But those sessions, three or four of them, were each around 500 rounds, the first 200 being all rapid fire as quickly as I could change out my magazines. Never had any kind of problem during these, save that barrel heated up a good bit.

Never fired a RR.

Just remember that magazines and other parts are not interchangeable between RRA and DPMS in the .308 style receivers.

Just mentioned it because I wasn't sure if you knew RRA and DPMS were different.
