That was a name used by the Crescent Firearms company. They made guns for hardware stores and department stores with all sorts of names. Here is one list of store brands.

See the 3rd post in the following thread for a little more history on Crescent.

John

P.S. - 'The New England' was a royal pain to Google, what with the New England Patriots and the new single barrel shotgun of the same name that's on the market.

Is the New England shotgun the kind Tom Brady sometimes uses?

Hell is trying to make a joke and getting a blank stare. A week or so ago I said something about the "pumpkin papers" and realized that no one knew what I was talking about! Old age, sheeeesh!

(Oh, and a "shotgun" offense in American football is where the quarterback sets up five yards or so behind the line and takes a long snap from center rather than taking the snap under the center and then moving back in the pocket. It is called that because the offense is more spread out. And if that is "Greek" to you, have fun with soccer.)

1. Mike, Start your edication with the purchase of The Standard Catalog of Firearms. Most large bookstores will carry it.
2. Brady? Brady? Didn't he serve under Regan?

I thought it was a buildup to a punchline, like, no problem, once you get them hammered, they are more fun to date?
