Any Pet loads for 8mm Mauser?

I have been trying to get a great load for my scoped Yugo M48. I have Sierra 175 grain SP. I have loaded up 30 rounds using 49.4 grains of H4895, col at 3.100. I have some IMR4064 and IMR4320. Any body have a great load using IMR4064 & IMR4320 with the Sierra 175 grain bullets? I also need the col. Thanks, gearyr.

I have a Yugo Mauser and found a pretty good load that gives 1-1.5 MOA groups. The other day I put four bullets through two holes at 50 yrds and got a 2.5 in. group at 200 yds running a cheap Swift 9x scope. BTW, I'm not any kind of an expert shot.

Anyway, here it is:

Sierra 175 gr. with 46 gr. of 4064 and Fed 210 primer. Don't seat the bullet deep. Set it as far out as is reasonable. I don't know if that had much to do with anything, but I thought I'd mention it. I haven't chronographed it myself, but the Sierra book says this bullet should fly about 2400 fps. I have found Sierra's numbers are pretty close when using their bullets.

I've used the same 175 Sierras with imr4064 also. Shot right to the point of aim with my open sighted Persian mauser with good accuracy. I recall a little better velocity but my weapon has a 29" barrel.

I'll mention a load that didn't work:

150 gr Sierra with 49.6 gr. of 4064 and Fed 210 primers. These shot all over the place. Maybe 4 MOA. One shot went high, the next low, the next right or left. Couldn't get any consistancy at all. Goes to show how much different loads can make.

I had good experience with Hornady round nose bullets (170 gr I think) over 38 gr of IMR 4895. This is an underpowered load, but was pretty accurate.

Currently my fav load is:
150 Gr. Hornady SP Interlock #3232
40.0 Gr. Varget
CCI #200 Large Rifle Primer
This is a med-high strength load with good accuracy.

I have tried full power loads pushing a 220 gr Hornady round, but my shoulder couldn't take it.

I went back and checked my notes from 1987. 175gr Sierra, 49.2 gr IMR4320, WW LR primer. About 1 1/2" at 100 yds.
