Model 10 S&W make date?

I recently purchased a NIB model 10 Nickel, but I don't know when it was made. Any help would be appreciated. Ser. # A18X47xx Model 10-7

Rockyrider,

That serial number is not in a standard S&W format. The normal post-1982 format is XXXYYYY where X is a letter and Y is a number.

Perhaps you have misread the letter "B" as the number "18"?
