BSA "Sweet" scope question - Help Please!
I have been planning on purchasing a BSA 22-619X40AO Scope.
I have found a BSA 17618X40AO scope at an incrediable price. Since I don't give a hoot about the adjustments for different projectile weights will the 17--- work as good at the 22---. Thanks! |

As for using as just a "cross hair or duplex scope" yes. It will hold up to the .22 rifle.

BSA "Sweet" Scope Question - Help Pleas
The model that begins w. 17 is for the .17 caliber (prbly HMR-but maybe the Mach II), whereas the model that begins w. 22 is for the .22LR.

I suggest looking past BSA scopes. Try Vortex. BSA scopes have never held zero for me and always break from the tiniest bumps.

Scope suggestion
I HAVE MOUNTED & SIGHTED IN APPROXIMATELY 50 SCOPES FOR FAMILY & FRIENDS IN THE PAST 30 YEARS & WOULD LIKE TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCES WITH YOU:
RULE OF THUMB: "THE COST OF THE BASES, RINGS, & SCOPE SHOULD EQUAL OR EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE RIFLE" BASES & RINGS: BURRIS / LEUPOLD / CONETROL (solid steel only) SCOPES ON A BUDGET: THE HIGH-END "SIMMONS" ARE VERY GOOD SCOPES NOT ON A BUDGET: BURRIS HOT TIP: SIMMONS MAKES THE SCOPES FOR "THOMPSON-CENTER" BURRIS MAKES THE SCOPES FOR "PENTAX" LEUPOLD MAKES THE SCOPES FOR "REDFIELD" MOUNTING: MOUNT AS LOW AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT TOUCHING THE BARREL OR INTERFERING WITH THE BOLT HANDLE. I HAVE NO PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH THE "BSA" BRAND. HOPEFULLY, MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCES WILL BE OF BENEFIT TO YOU !!! GURU1911

I put a BSA aweet 223 on my wifes ar. Almost 1000 rounds down range, zero problems. bdc turrets not perfect, but close, would probably be closer if her barrel was 20 and not 16, but we like the scope
