Woo Hooooo! Merry Christmas to me!
The wife must have been listening. Just got a Hornady Lock and Load AP for Christmas. Now I just got to get it set up and going. Probably will be asking a few questions here. Hope everyone else has a great Christmas also.

I would suggest first that you tell the people what your experience level is.
Oh and read the manual at least twice before trying to set things up.

Merry Christmas
And get a copy of Lyman #49, and read it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have been reloading for about 25 years so this is just an upgrade for me. Was just excited that the wife actually listened.

Congrats! Great wife. Mine would be too afraid of getting the wrong thing so I had to buy it myself.
I would read some of the helpful posts on here and other sites. I picked up a lot of good info when I set mine up. I also liked the video's both from Hornady and others on youtube. The instructions were helpful but not the best. It is like anything else that is mechanical, it does take some time to get set up. Good luck |

Any day you get a new press is a good day. When your wife gets you a new press, it becomes a great day.

I also have been reloading 25 years and I recently bought a LNL AP. I had horrible experiences with the Hornady equipment and customer service. After 4 months of total frustration, I gave up on the Hornady LNL AP and I bought a Dillon 550b and it has been a great press with very few issues.
My problems with the LNL included poor auto indexing, auto indexing that did not stay adjusted, broken pawls, bad alignment on Station #1, crushed cases, ejection system throwing completed cases to the right, constant primer jams, and on-and-on-and-on and-on... I called customer service +20 times and each time they treated me like it was my problem and not their equipment. Each time customer service sent me new parts, it would take 8 or 9 days to reach my house in NY. Hornady customer service has bankers hours - 9-4 Monday - Thursday. I will never buy another Hornady product. I hope you have better luck. |

Love Hornady. Congrats on the press. Awesome wife you have there. Just wish my wife would listen closer. I've been dropping hints though for our 10 year anniversary next year.
