Redfield Mount / Aperture Sight?

I recently acquired this REDFIELD MOUNT with the the small aperture sight mounted on the end. The mount is stamped 70A which is for the model 70 WINCHESTER, I also believe the aperture sight is REDFEILD. Did REDFIELD make this? I know any good gunsmith could do it, I was just curious if anyone had seen one like it?
