Been wondering the same thing myself. From what I have seen the closest to us are in VA or NH.

IRRC, "paramilitary" training is illegal in PA.

Paramilitary training??? Is that what this really qualifies as? All I want to do is learn how to clear a house properly, cut the pie better, and all the other skills necessary to see my butt through a bad day. I don't need to know how to make a bomb out of a bag of flour, gasoline, and a twinkie!

I gotta write my congressman......

I was incorrect

http://members.aol.com/StatutesP7/18PA5515.html

Apparently, according to the linked statutes, it's only illegal if the person has illegal intentions in mind.

Guess there's no excuse.

Are there any outdoor ranges in the Philly area?

I just moved to Philly, and would like find someplace where I can shoot outside.

Thanks.

Greater Pittsburgh Gun club will host a training by the FIRE Institute every now and again. I'd google it. Sorry I don't have any information other than that.
