Where are some compititions and how to get into it??

I am thinking of getting into compitition shooting. Rifle, or benchrest. And was wondering where they take place, how much to enter, who to contact, and so on and so forth with other questions. Anyone?? thanks.

I am in NW Arkansas and shoot a .308 bolt.

CL73, I am in NE Oklahoma. Oil Capital (east of Tulsa) has reduced course NRA High Power on 4th Saturady each month March through October. It's a private club, but you could be my guest if you would like to come shoot the match. Have you shot this match before? We have a couple guys from the Joplin area who come once in a while. Another feller comes from Wichita, and yet another from somewhere in TX (haven't seen him for awhile -- he's a marine reservist so it's possible he's been busy other places lately). sundog
