Springfield Armory M1a Question

When you go to SA's website you can move your mouse over the different model M1A's and a picture of that model appears.

What scope is on the "loaded" model M1A from Springfield Armory's website?

I ask because that scope hangs waaaay off the back of the rifle and I think it would be more user friendly than the scope that I currently have on my M1A.

Looks like a low-power hunting optic. Reminds me of Leupold VX3 1.5-5x20mm, but I'm not sure about the colored ring on the occular lens

I think it is the Leupold Mark 4 1.5-5x20, has anyone had any experience with this scope or can you point me to some helpful reviews?

I'm especially interested in the illuminated version.

It may be the Springfield Armory 6x Rangefinder scope that they often have a special offer for when you purchase an M1A.

It provides a range finder reticule for .308, 168 grain match ammo.

Several years ago, when I bought my M1A, they had an offer for the List priced $600 6x scope for $ 100. I bought it to see if it was really that good. It is very sturdy & very bright but the rangefinder reticule is very hard to see, at least for my eyes.

Here's a detailed image of the rifle & scope. If that is a SA, Inc branded scope, then it was probably made by Hakko, which supplied optics to SA, Inc. That might also explain the blue ring too...

That picture doe not look like the 6x rangefinder Springfield Scope that I bought. The front element is way too small.

The blue ring is probably the biggest indicator - you're probably right.
