Winchester model 70 Super Shadow

Had a couple of questions for the experts out there. I have a Super Shadow in 7mm wsm, I want to replace the plastic blind magazine and trigger guard assembly with a regular magazine and trigger guard assembly. Any idea if this can be done with a regular model 70 magazine and trigger guard assembly, or aftermarket parts,or is this something that can't be done? I will also be replacing the factory stock, any suggestions on stocks?

It can be done. The WSM chambered rifles use a different action length, so make sure you get the trigger guard/floorplate for a WSM length action.

Give them a call and tell them what you are looking for and they can likely get you set up.

Order the parts directly from Winchester. I replaced my blind stock with a bell and carlson stock and the trigger guard, floor plate and screws were about $50.00 if I remember correctly. Just go to the winchester web site and download the pdf catalog.

If you look on the Winchester site, they will direct you to a list of dealers for parts. Jack First is on that list.

7mm WSM

I know this is a little off topic, but how does that 7mm WSM shoot? I have been kind of drooling over that exact gun in the CDNN catalog for under $400. I just haven't pulled the trigger because I wasn't sure about the caliber.
