BS varminter loads?
I'm looking at buying at bushmaster varminter or predator, has any one found a good combo that works well with 50-60 grain bulets? Does any one know the pros and cons of the gun from experience?

My mouse gun is a Bushmaster built by Compass Lake. 1/2 m.o.a. gun, all day long.
I've had good luck running the 53 grain Sierra Match King with AA 2230, but the flashholes of the cases have to be deburred for best accuracy with that powder. If you are running a 50-55 grain flat base bullet, try around 25.0 grains of IMR3031 (in Winchester cases: for any other case, knock a couple grains off and work up). I think you will find it much more satisfactory than 4895. Nick

My Predator likes the 50 grn Speer TNTs. IMR 3031 powder. Can't recall off the top of my head how many grains. 26 I think but look it up. Took the wife to the range and she really didn't want to go. She started shooting a 1 inch group at 100 yards with like 8 shots and says "Ooh I like this gun" Had to start loading 3 at a time or she would have melted the barrel!
