But 50* to the Hawaiian is cold, but warm for the Eskimo. So while the temperature is in fact 50*, the fact that it is warm, or cold, is subjective.
Facts are not necessarily definitive, they can indeed be subjective. Just basing your fact on this standard, which can be true and proven and thus a fact, while I base my fact on this other standard, which can be true and proven and thus a fact, makes certain facts subjective. And thus ends the rambling of a man who doesn't have his full dose of coffee.. |

I would keep my eyes out for a nice used S&W or Ruger, they really are the better choices. I will admit that I have one of the older 720 Rossi's and it is a keeper for sure but it is a 44 spl, not a 38. A nice model 10 HB S&W would make a great shooter, I picked up one years ago and use it as a house gun.

FACT as to what the SAAMI standards say in ink on paper are exactly that. A FACT.

But SAAMI changed their facts in 1972. Again, facts are not set in stone when they are nothing more than a construct, created by Man.
I don't need a pressure measuring device to know that a 125 at 925 FPS is not a high pressure load. Empties fall from the chamber without using the ejector. Cases are sooted meaning they didn't expand to seal the chamber under firing. All signs of low pressure condition. These are my observations and I believe my own eyes. You don't...fine. Mainstream (not specialty) factory +P as any sort of high pressure or high performance load is a myth. A lie. It is NOT fact. But here I am sucked into this never ending debate again. I have got to get off this merry go round. |

Another brand to consider is Charter Arms. They make good +P rated revolvers in your price range.

this guy just wants to find a decent gun for 250-350$. I don't think he is particularly interested in the pressure debate.
this price is simply amazing, you might not get the best out of armscor, but at this price it doesn't matter. if this is your first gun, you will buying a lot more soon anyway http://www.centerfiresystems.com/AC-M200.aspx if your going over 300, I would stick with the rossi/Taurus or charter this is nice http://www.centerfiresystems.com/CHA...NDERCOVER.aspx

Used .38 special S&Ws are still around for under $400. That would be my first choice.
In August I bought a very good condition Model 14 for $330 with two speed loaders. I've read of better deals than that. |

If the Rossi is of the Interarms era, and stamped accordingly, go for it. Those are underrated as having since taken on the stigma of Taurus.

If I had a $300 budget, my search would start and end with a police trade in like the ones found at Bud's.

Ended up buying a new Taurus model 82 4" satin for $299. So far i've managed to get a 1 1/2" ragged hole.

I agree with Skizzums. The fellow is looking for a in expense 38 special. He might not care about SAAMI pressures between standard and +P. He is asking for a opinion on the two revolvers he named above.
My response is, for $300 to $350 he can find a used S&W or Ruger. I feel he would get more for his money. |

I agree.
OP: Try and find a used S&W or Ruger. They are nicer guns for sure. |

The Taurus Model 82 is basically a S&W Model 10. It shoots at least as good as my friends S&W. Only had a week and I've already had my reloading supplies and die's hit my mail box and fired off my first set of reloads today.

Congratulations on the Taurus 82. I've owned a couple of them over the years and they're good guns. Not a thing wrong with them. I especially like the older ones that had wooden grips, but that's just me liking older guns.

To the OP -
Here is an extremely detailed review of the Armscor m200 & m206 revolvers. They are very good revolvers for the money. Brought to you by the same folks who make the Rock Island Armory 1911's that are so popular as foundations for race guns. They have a street price of right around $220, http://ezine.m1911.org/showthread.ph...evolver-Review
