More bills to watch

While I was browsing popvox this morning, I ran across more bills that bear some scrutiny.

H.R. 793: To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to impose an excise tax on concealable firearms and to require the Attorney ...

H.R. 661: To repeal certain impediments to the administration of the firearms laws.

H.R. 628: To amend the Public Health Service Act to revise and extend projects relating to children and violence to provide access to school-based comprehensive mental health programs

HR578: Respecting States Rights and Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act

Thanks for posting those. It will be interesting to see what the bills actually are. Just reading the title of 793 left a bad taste in my mouth, but maybe that's because its tax season.

None of the three have a full text available yet when I try and daisy chain the links through THOMAS. Two from the 13th and one from the 15th, no text by the 19th.. though there was a President's Day adjournment that probably accounts for at least some delay.

No Offense but when you see bills that alarm you and you do not agree with don't just watch them, email, write and phone your representatives and voice your opposition to them.

we kind of have to see the text of the bill before we can complain about them. Until then the best we've got is "Hey everybody! Bill with scary name just hit the radar, keep yourself posted".

Not sure if this has been posted yet.

HR578: Respecting States Rights and Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act

Federal overreach at its finest, with such poorly worded use of the commerce clause that it would be easy for states to arrest people anyway.

Thanks.
