Cap sizes?
I just bought two replica BP pistols from an estate. I've always wanted to get into this hobby, and here I am...
The guns are an Oberti 1860 Colt Army and a Cabela's 1857 Remington brass "Buffalo" (Pietta??). They both look to be unfired. The research that I've done in the FAQ's seems to suggest that I could use Hornady .454 ball in both, but my real question concerns the caps. #10, 11 or both? |

Remingtion #10s fit all my cap guns real good. If i can't find them i use CCI #11s i just give then a little squeeze before i put them on the nipples.

The Uberti needs .454 balls but the Cabela's/Pietta 1858 Remington can get by with .451's.
However the .454's will work with both guns. |

Thank you gentleman, and sorry for the obvious errors in discription.
(I should have had the guns available as I posted). |

Actually Italian replica nipples are sized best for the Dynamit Nobel RWS 1075 caps. Dunno if you have them in the States...
