S&W 469 Sights

I am looking at buying a S&W 469 from a friend in the near future. I think it is a great pistol, but I don't like the sights. The rear sights are fixed, and appear to have been white outline, but it is mostly gone now. The front sights are a faded yellow ramp.
What I'm wondering is.....if I bought this pistol, is it possible to have different sights installed? I was thinking along the lines of low mount Novaks or XS, something like that.
Does anyone know about this?
