Since it's nice to have some references for her, go here:

http://gunbroker.com/Auction/SearchResults.asp

or here:

http://www.auctionarms.com/search/auctions.aspx

Show her some prices. Look for guns in similar condition. Look at what they are actually selling for.

ebutler462,
Your son got a bargain. The stocks are selling around $40.00. Barrels around $100.00

Trying to get an average price complete, without parting it out.

Thanks, thats about what it looks like, except mine is 2 3/4" and that one is 3". I have looked at all the sites so far and not seen the exact model yet.

Serial NUmbers

I have a Topper Model 158 I bought as a kid back in the sixties. Great little 20 guage. I have been verifying my list of serial numbers and cannot find one on the topper. I have removed the for grip and barrel but nothing. The only thing it has is a patent number.

Hope this is not closed... Need info on 38-55 Winchester Jet

I have a Harrington & Richardson Topper Model 158 in 38-55 Winchester along with 450 rds for sale. I KNOW what the ammo is worth, but not so sure about the rifle. Most all of them were barreled for Shotguns of one gauge or another.
Any Help on this appreciated...
thx

What year did they make the first Topper model 158, 12 gauge, 2 and three quarter, full choke, 36 inch barrel?
