Valmet 3 barrel set???

One of the oldtimers I know offered to sell me a Valmet Model 412 O/U in a 3 barrel set for a few hundred bucks. Im not familiar with Valmets and any help would be appreciated. Im mainly wanting to know how good of guns these are. It seems solid and built well but dont know the name and if their worth anything.
Thanks in advance.

It's good!

Valmet is a good solid gun....made in Finland and those Folks can make some pretty good stuff....the only problem may be getting parts and pieces for it, which can be a little difficult. I consider the Valmet shotguns to be about on par with Browning Citori in terms of quality....but the Valmets are typcially rather 'plain' in the looks category.

Got it and love it.

Picked up the whole deal for 500 bucks! Its a pretty good shooter and 1 barrel set has never been used. I like that I help people when they need it and they remember it and return the favor.
