I Got To See The Elusive KSG Today

I stopped in a LGS that I only go into a few times a year and they had the elusive Kel-Tec KSG setting on the counter in all its glory. Price tag - $1,387.
I told the owner I didn't blame him a bit for pricing it that way since they are still next to impossible to get. Now, I wouldn't pay that mind you, but somebody will. I'm probably still a buyer at $800, though.

Someone else just posted on some troubles with the KSG he just got. http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=486651

I'ts probably a good idea to wait until they get the bugs out and the price will likely drop.

Has anyone seen the UTS-15?

Des Plaines is right down the road from me, I'm tempted to stop by the factory.

Here's my thing, if your going through all the trouble to give it two magazines and throw it into a bullpup configuration, why not go through the trouble to make it an auto?

The Issues I see with the UTS-15 is Left handed people cant use it, unless getting pelted in the cheek with hot spet shells is on your to do list...The Keltec is more user friendly for lefties.

THink about the value to that gun shop of having that shotgun in inventory.

How many serious gun buyers will that bring through their doors that wouldn't otherwise. If I were running a shop I would price it at a bout 2000 and watch the gawkers roll in.

Well, it didn't last long. Three guys were nearly fighting for it. The first guy wanted a deal since he spends a lot of money at this shop, so, the owner knocked $80 off of it. Then a second guy stepped in and said he would give the asking price. Then a third guy stepped in and said he would bump it up $100.

The guy that bought it took it out to shoot and couldn't get it to feed, so, he brought it back. They had him take it to a smith to see if he could find the problem before they went to the trouble of sending it back to Kel-Tec. He found that the little finger catch on the fore end had been attached too far back and wouldn't let the gun chamber a round with it in the original position, so, he moved it forward and it seems all is well.

This feeding issue may be a problem with the first batch. At least it sounds correctable.

Just checked on GB. $1000-$1500?

Unbelievable. Don't get me wrong, it's a neat concept, but I'd rather tie two 590A1's together and load one with slugs and the other with 00. Then I also have two BARRELS!

...and then buy a nice 10/22 with the rest of the cash

Many prefer the reliability of a pump for HD/SD..

Not to mention that would make it an illegal assualt firearm in some states

Could you tie the 590s together so the barrels were opposite then flip the guns around when you want to change loads....

That would be at least as cool as the KSG and I imagine a relatively cheap bracket could get the job done.

On the website its 875 or near that. If people are fighting to pay DOUBLE the freaking price. Why not just 4 fold it and let some taticool guy buy it.

Got to shoot the KSG today, seemed strange shooting a shotgun so darn short.

It ran fine as long as you didn't short-stroke it.

I think it is a cool conservation piece, sorta like the S&W Governor and the Taurus Judge, not practical for anything, but a fun gun to bring to the range once in awhile.
