Cover photo question
November 2012 issue's cover photo (nicely done BTW) shows the U.S. Flag moral patches worn vertically. I would have "assumed" horizontally.
Is there a significance to the flags being vertical, or just the way the subject likes them? Yes, there are dumb questions. Sorry, but curious.

Normally the flag should be worn vertically, with the blue and stars facing forward.

I believe vertical is acceptable if the blue field is on the left.

It could be a way to avoid wearing the flag in a retreat position.
