Help with USPSA production rig
Hello everyone, I'm new to the competition shooting world and I've got a few questions about some products that I've read up on and would really like to purchase for USPSA production IF they fit in the guidelines.
Here's the holster I am considering: Blade-Tech DOH Mag pouch(s): Comp-Tac Beltfeed Belt: CR Speed Belt Also, I know fiber optic front sights are OK, but are adjustable rears legal??? The pistol im shooting is a Para P16 .40 LDA. I'm considering going to a P18 9mm LDA in the future, but would really like to get all of my gear squared away. Thanks for any help and advice you guys can give me! |

I just perused the rulebook on the USPSA website, and as far as I can tell, those are all OK to use.

Seems like the DOH holster may not be legal under the new Production rules.

IF the DOH is outlawed it won't be until Jan 1, 08. IF it is outlawed it will take a couple bucks and 5 mintues to change your existing DOH to a legal configuration, the BT holsters are modular and as such make changes easy and cheap.
Adjustable rears ARE legal in all divisions of USPSA. Optical sights are where the line is drawn, if the division you want to shoot prohibits optical sights you can't use a scope or a red dot, ANY post and notch sight is legal. I would take the rig you outline to the match and know I wouldn't be held back by equipment. |

My set up for USPSA Production is a Blade-Tech DOH holster, Comp-Tac mag holders and a thick saddle leather hand made Amish belt. The cheapest item is the belt, $20.00.

at this time..that gear is all legal..not sure what any rule changes for 2008 will be..
but as HSMITH said..the BT DOH is easy to convert to like the BT stingray. at this time..I use the CR Speed belt, BT Stingray and CR Speed pouches (5) for my production set up. |
