Is it enough?

Just curious if you folks think Bufallo Bore's 180Grain wfngc is adequate for taking Whitetail and wild pigs.Weapon is GP100 6" very accurate for me out to 50Yds. Thanks

Yes for Whitetail.

I would choose a .44mag for pigs, but the .357mag will do the job.

I'll second what Moloch said. My personal tastes run toward using something bigger, but a properly loaded .357 will get the job done quite well. That Buffalo Bore load should drive plenty deep to get the job done.

I'd say yes IMO, on whitetails and hogs both, but I'd keep ranges within 40 yards or so on deer (at least with my skill under field conditions with a revolver), and within 30-35 yards on hogs, just to ensure a good hit to the vitals.

You have plenty of gun in my opinion, the trick is putting the bullet right where you need to, and being smart enough to pass on a shot if it is beyond your present capacity. I like to run about 300yds, let me rephrase that, I hate running, but often times I will run 300yds or more and then shoot. Gets your hearts attention. Probably not something to do at a public range. But I set up 6" steel plates at varying distances out to 45-50yds. Go for the run and shoot the steels, fairly quick, not IPSC quick, but as fast as I can accurately do it. Good practice for hog hunting with a pistol.

+ 1 zeisloft. I think you have plenty gun too. Just practice, practice, practice, so you know exactly what your gun, and you will do.
