nitrosteel 3" no. 4´s
are these shotshells worth? what would be an ideal range for this load?
I bought them for about $9.2 a box of 25 here in old México mainly for geese and ducks. but high quality seldom is cheap! what kind of chokes? any comments are welcome! thanks and keep blasting! |

Try a Modified or IC choke, Pepe, and use them on ducks. They're a touch light for geese.

I thought that Mexico still allowed lead shot for waterfowl.
If so, I wouldn't even consider steel. Anyway, #4 steel is OK for decoying ducks out to about 35 yards. After that, velocity drops markedly. I agree with Dave that it is too light for geese. |

The price is about right and they are all I use for ducks. Never hunted geese so I couldn't help there

re:
I bought these shotshells because of price, and availability. I still preffer lead over steel but never ever tried steel before.
are these nitrosteel a rough match to any high velocity shell loades with lead no. 2´s? or are they a close match to 2 3/4 magnum copperplated lead shot in no. 2´s? any of these other shells a better deal? thanks |
