White Outline rear sight Vs. Dots?
I have a bersa tthunder 45 uc pro that I bought a new nickel slide for and it came stock with the u shape outline rear sight. I dislike the rear sight but can not seem to replace it with anything like dots or night sights. Seems no company makes a dovetail rear sight for the bersa yet. Anyway what are your thoughts on this rear sight good or bad. this is the first pistol I have ever owned with the outline rear sight that I could not change.

I have guns with both dots and an outline and to be honest, I don't really notice a huge difference as long as the front sight is clearly visible to me. Now the figure 8 or snowman sights where you stack the dots is still a bit odd for me, but I only rented guns with those sights, don't own one...yet.

I am just trying to get use to it. Just looks funny to me, however like you said once I am sighted in I am not using the rear sight

I've found what I like best is a black rear with a decent U notch and a bright front dot. But pretty much just about anything can be made to work.

Unless you want night sights, a little model paint will go a long way.

I bought a Glock 19 with the stock white U shaped rear sight. All of my other guns have three dot sights. This was my first Glock and I didn't know if I would like the sights or not but I actually like them.

I've used a sharpie to black out the rear sights on my Glocks. I prefer them that way.

I don't have any problem with dots, or U's. What I don't like is the dot-dash of my KAHR CM9.

I'm another fan of the blacked out rear sight with a nicely visible front.

I've only shot one gun with the U shaped sight. It was a Glock 19 and I can't say I was to fond of it. My guns are 3 dots or night sights.

White Outline rear sight Vs. Dots?
Turn the rear sight around. You'll be pleased with the result

I found a local shop that might have a replacement sight for me. if they don't have both front and rear that will fit this gun I will get just the front
