I have looked at them, and knowing my 'hunting load' in my 7-1/2" 'regular' Super Blackhawk, I'd hate to touch one off in that short barrel and short grip...
It is purdy, though... |

Just got my identical model back from Ruger. Had to replace the barrel and cylinder. Originals wouldn't shoot for squat. Fixed now, though, at no cost to me, thanks, Ruger. Suggest Pachmayr's if you shoot it much. Makes it almost comfortable and downright fun to shoot. I've shot many 240 to 300 pretty stout loads with success. It's still a heavy piece even with the short barrel and the Pachmayr's make it more than managable.

Mine will be carried more than shot. I got this one for packing when we trail ride (mules) in the more remote areas we ride. Been seeing a lot of wild hogs lately. And to keep any two legged predators thinking straight....

Looks blooming sweet, I had a blued 4-5/8's Super years ago and while it shot fine the loading gate would open sometimes after a full magnum went off! I sent it back to Ruger and they installed a stiffer loading gate spring, problem solved.

Did they not have room for the warning message on the barrel?

Easy solution, just don't use full power magnum loads.

Full power loads are fine for the field. Just not that fun at the range to punch paper with.

Sweet gun mk70ss (your name is there an 70 SS in your garage?) but Ted Nugent 44 mags.
Got to get me some of them, I bet the bradey bunch is having kittens over ammo named or made by Ted.

Just curious. I know it's limited. Visited Lipsey's site and did a search but no 3 1/2 inch was shown. Any tips on how I can get one? This little stout bugger is something I could go for.
