Suicidal with jealousy...

Friend of mine walked into a small gunshop that has literally had nothing of interest for him for years to find...

A Smith & Wesson Model 16 6", made in 1962, in good to very good overall condition.

The price? Just over $500.

Don't have good pictures yet, but it looks to be a real gem... And the price...

Where's the green eyed jealousy monster smiley when you need it?

Don't worry, I'll let you shoot it...maybe.

It isn't perfect cosmetically, far from it, but the bore and chambers are pristine, and the action is good too. Looks like "carried much, shot little" gun.

Sounds like somebody is a little bit luckier than usual. Post pictures when you can. I'll try not to be jealousy but no promises.

I read this 'thread' hours ago, and had no idea what a Model 16 was...

So I looked it up...

Thanks for the education...

No one likes 32s though. The cool cals are 22 38 and 44.

JK - Very nice find. That model is tough to find now a days

Nice gun...

Don't kill yourself Mike, where else could we get first hand stories from the period 1880-1920?
