Change votes
Sometimes I vote in a poll then someone makes a really good point and I want to change my vote.
You take it from there. |

I understand your point, but there is no way to change a vote. You can PM a moderator to change the poll count which in effect changes your vote, but that should only be done when a poll is really important. The last "really important" poll I saw was ...... well, I guess I've never seen a really important poll!

What if the poll has hanging chads?

No such thing as a really important poll -- how true, how very true...
But if everyone who voted for the winning choice got a prize, now that would be different -- and a really good reason not to let people change their votes. On the other hand, posting in the thread about why you changed your mind could, conceivably, be a useful contribution to the discussion, and I think it's pretty much OK to do that.
