Pocket guns

A friend of mine in kentucky has a beretta .22 pocket gun. I love the thing. Its fun/cheap to shoot when trying to make the most of your range fee. But I am a little confused as to weather or not "Pocket" style .22lr pistols are legal Here in California. Does anyone know for sure?

I'm no expert, but this would be the first place I would look:
http://certguns.doj.ca.gov/

I check this site before I travel to California to make sure any handgun I'm bringing is legal to posses there.
