OK, here it is......

Beretta's new entry. On first blush appears to be a 39X with a fancy buttstock attachment.

What sand paper to scuff the varnish for my flat black krylon to stick to it? would a laser or flashlight be better? Halo red dot or illuminated scope?

39X models and their variants have not had wood stocks for quite some time. I will let others explain.

My understanding is this is the replacement for the 39X series. A gun writer friend was just in SD with Beretta using it to hunt pheasant. His review will be out in a few months. If I get a chance to talk to him soon, I'll mention what his initial thoughts are on it.
