Scope Help! .308

I have a CZ 550 American in .308. I had a Millet scope and rings, but sadly that did not work. I consulted a chart for my rifle from CZ, and I have found numerous brands, but I need help on scope ideas.

What I am looking for?

1) Low price. I can't afford a $500 scope.
2) The range I will be shooting at is 200 yards...at least I would like to sight my rifle in at 200.
3) Easy to use. I am a newbie. I need to be able to use it easy.
4) High clearance off the rifle.

If you can think of anything else I need to take into consideration as a newbie please let me know. I really don't know everything that I need to about rifle scopes. I am mainly a handgun and shotgun shooter.

What do you mean by this one?

sorry bout that. I could not opperate the bolt with the Millet scope. The scope sat a little too low on the gun (maybe a mm too low, but out of the realm of fixablity because I couldn't find any scope rings to raise the scope).

2 options..

1) try a 1 pc picitinny/weaver base that will mount to the dovetail cuts on the rifle reciever, instead of cz rings..

it will add a little bit of height and a ton of options for the rings...as rings will be standard and can be in low, medium and high..

been there with a cz 527...

you may be able to use the millet scope on it this way.

2) or diffrent scope, but look for one with a smaller eyepiece end..you will be limited by the ring height options for cz rings..

cz's and sakos are this way..with the dovetail mounts they use..
