And what about Scope lenses?

With the now polymers out there for eye glass lenses I got to thinking are scope lenses still made of glass or of plastic, and is one better than the other also could this be one of the major price difference in scope manufactures?

Glass weighs more and is more resistant to scratches. I know that the glasses I wear and the lenses in high value cameras and in professional microscopes are still glass.

I doubt that any fine scopes, binoculars, or camera lenses, will be made of anything but glass in my lifetime.
